Command One Security introduces The FloodAlarm, a patent-pending flood protection system. In response to the rapidly growing insurance crisis related to in-home flooding and mold intrusion, we at Command One Security developed a device that will monitor the flow of water to your home 24 hours a day, and notify us if the water runs for too long.

The FloodAlarm device is installed in the ground after your water meter and is then connected to an alarm system. The system is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The key to avoiding devastating flood repairs and mold damage - with no insurance available for mold claims - is to get the water shut off and begin clean up as quickly as possible. The flow of water from your meter starts the timer inside your alarm panel. Once the flow has continued uninterrupted longer than the set time, the alarm panel sends a FloodAlarm signal to our Central Monitoring Station.

The system reports to the Central Station every day and failure to report causes an alarm, in response to which a technician is sent out to reestablish communication. As with the monitoring of any other alarm device, our Central Station staff will respond to the FloodAlarm signal by notifying you and your designated emergency contacts until the flow of water has been stopped and someone with authority to act has been contacted and notified.
