| IMPORTANT REMINDERS: |
| |
You MUST have a properly connected and working phone line, or a cellular radio, in order for your alarm to send signals to the central station. Anytime you make any changes or repairs to your phone service where a phone company technician comes to your home, ask that technician not to leave until you have called our central station and tested the communication of your alarm.
Anytime your alarm goes off, you must re-set it before you can arm the alarm again. Procedures for re-setting the alarm are usually simple but different for every type of alarm panel. On an Ademco panel, enter your four digit code followed by the number 1 on the keypad a second time. On Radionics panels, enter Command 4 on the keypad. Contact our office if you have another type of panel. |

| |
| How do I bypass a specific zone or area on my security panel? |
|
| (Ademco models) Enter your 4-digit code, the number 6 key and the zone number that you want to bypass. Zone number must be 2 digits, example; 03 or 12. All must be entered consecutively or the bypass feature will not complete. The system keypad will then indicate "Zone Bypassed." Arm as usual at that point. |
| |
| Should I let Command One Security know if I am going to be out of town for any period of time? |
|
| Yes! It's always good for our central station to know that you will be away, for how long and whether anyone else will be in the home while you are gone. |
| |
| How do I enter an extra combination into my alarm system? |
|
| Please call our office, and our central station personnel can help you with that addition. It's easier for our central station personnel to do it from here. If we are unable to add the extra combo, we can generate a service order to get the addition/change completed. |
|
| |
| Is there a certain number of responding people I should have on my confidential data list? |
|
| No, but the more the better! In case there is a problem with the alarm system, we would like to know that we can actually make contact with you, even through a family member or friend, and advise you of the situation. |
| |
| Can I use my alarm system if the power is out to my home? |
|
| Yes! Your system comes equipped with a backup battery that takes over for a time if the power should go out. Once the power is restored, the battery will then re-charge. |
| |
| How often should my backup battery be changed? |
|
| Under normal conditions, they last four to five years, depending on the battery. Your panel will notify us when your battery is low and we will call to schedule replacement. |
| |
| Can I replace my own battery? |
|
| Yes! Call us to tell you how. |
| |
| Why is it that when the alarm trips, my phones go dead? |
|
| On many applications, the alarm system seizes your telephone line to communicate to our central station. Once the signals have been transmitted, then the line will be released. Keep in mind that some phone systems don't allow for line seizure. |
